Jeffrey Wigand

In 1996, former executive Jeffrey Wigand blew the whistle on the tobacco and cigarette industry when he revealed the intentional manipulation of nicotine, known as "impact boosting," by his former employer, Brown & Williamson, in an interview on the television program 60 Minutes.

Jeffrey considered the whistleblowing a great personal risk to himself and his family but still decided that it was for the better good of people and society for the practice to be exposed. The cigarette company's were all doing what everyone suspected...trying to get us hooked on nicotine.
